Valparaiso is a Unesco world-heritage site located on the coast about 2 hours North East of Santiago. It is popular for its famous funicular elevators and the colorful houses and street art that cover its hillsides. The route to the coast passes through the Casablanca valley, where famous vineyards are located. This area is one of Chile’s prime wine producing zones due to the cooler coastal climate, perfect for harvesting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
