The Portillo Ski School caters to skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels, offering private ski lessons in Chile and guided skiing experiences in the breathtaking Andes. Whether you’re looking to master the basics, refine your skills, or explore the terrain with a seasoned pro, our private ski instructors are ready to help.

Private ski lessons offer a more personalized coaching experience for individual needs, whether looking to work on techniques and skills to take your skiing to the next level, spend quality time with your family or explore the mountain. Private lessons can include up to three people, perfect if you want to learn by yourself, with friends or family. We can also provide private lessons for toddlers starting from 3 years old. Get insider tips about the best way to experience Portillo’s terrain, as well as skiing and snowboarding tips & techniques from our international and multi-lingual team of experienced guides, who work at some of the finest ski resorts in North American, Europe, and Japan during the northern hemisphere winter. With a Portillo guide, the whole family can have a fun experience. By focusing on skills that suit the entire group’s needs, the direction of a family guide can deliver a great skiing experience for parents, teens, and kids. Our guides will find terrain that suits everyone's skiing ability and style. The terrain available off the Roca Jack traverse offers endless opportunities for advanced skiers. Our guides know this terrain better than anyone and will guide you around the best spots in a safe and fun way. They know where the snow is best at which times of the day, special routes, and many other insider tips that will enhance your Portillo experience. Portillo has many secret stashes that deliver amazing turns with a little bit of touring or hiking. La Chimenea, Primavera, and Vizcachas are just a few of the options that open up with some hiking or touring. Hire a Portillo guide to explore and ski these areas safely. Those interested in working on their touring shape and exploring the ski area uphilling options can hire an uphilling guide to show them the available routes and best practices. Skiers with physical or learning disabilities can fall in love with the sport of skiing with the help of our adaptive ski coaches. We have equipment and instructors trained to teach skiers with a variety of disabilities. Disabled skiers will also enjoy handicapped access in the hotel and the warm, comfortable hotel facilites. ❄️ SEASON EXTENSION!
Due to excellent snow conditions, we have extended our season until October 11th. During this period, the Ski & Snowboard School will exclusively offer private lessons. Lessons will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability, so advance booking is recommended.

Rates are in Chilean pesos and include 19% Value Added Tax (VAT). Foreign guests staying overnight at Portillo who pay their bill in USD are exempt from VAT. Rates subject to change.
