Ski near Santiago - Getting to Portillo

If you want to ski near Santiago, Portillo is a great option, with less crowded slopes than other Santiago ski centres. Located only two hours northeast of Santiago, the drive to Portillo is a scenic route that passes vineyards, and fruit groves, with stunning views of the Andes Mountains.

Cars are not needed at Portillo, so we recommend booking Private or Group Transportation from Santiago or Santiago airport from our sister company Portillo Tours and Travel. The opening of the route for Chileans depends on the Police (Carabineros) stationed at Guardia Vieja village.
