Subject to snow and weather conditions, guests depart Portillo to be guided by one of Portillo’s professional heli ski guides to fresh snow in the surrounding valleys.

Helicopter Reservations for heli skiing in Chile, South America

From July to September, during the Portillo ski season, depending on snow and weather conditions, guests who enjoy Heli-skiing will be offered the services of a Eurocopter AS350 B3 helicopter. Heli ski services are provided by the company Rotortec, allowing access to fresh powder snow in the mountains that surround the resort. Skiers are guided by Portillo’s heli-skiing team, experienced guiding in operations in Alaska, Canada and North America.

If you would like to Heli-ski whilst staying at Ski Portillo you may put your name down for potential heliskiing by requesting to be added to the list upon arrival in Portillo (Assistant Manager office). Heli-ski requests can also be made by emailing heliski@skiportillo.com. Please note that this does not guarantee heliskiing, but is a request that must be confirmed at the Heliskiing office upon arrival. Heli skiing is subject to daily conditions as well as the number of guests who have requested the service and cannot be guaranteed.

Enjoy lunch at Tio Bob’s, a legendary mountain restaurant, with a 10 minute sightseeing flight from Hotel Portillo that showcases the panoramic views of the majestic Andes Mountains. A 20 minute sightseeing tour invites you to discover the surroundings of Portillo by air, including the Laguna del Inca and the impressive surrounding mountains along the border with Argentina. Skip the drive and travel to Portillo by air with helicopter flights from the Santiago airport or Tobalaba airport (if staying downtown) Capacity: 5 passengers and carry on luggage.
