Mountain Services at Portillo

Our on-mountain photographer is on the ski slopes daily, capturing photos for guests to purchase as a reminder of their unique experience of South America skiing. Located on Level -1 in the hallway towards the fitness center.

Enjoy lunch with stunning 360 degree views at Tio Bob’s, Portillo’s renowned on-mountain restaurant. Seating is on the deck or inside the cozy mountain rifugio with a roaring fireplace. Bring your sunglasses and hat for sunny afternoons. Enjoy items from the grill including the famous Rogan Burger, grilled salmon, steak and more along with salads, and sides, along with cold beers and Chilean wines. Hotel guests receive one complimentary lunch per week.

The Portillo self-service cafeteria offers a fast and simple dining option for those visiting for the day, guests staying in the Inca Lodge or for guests who want an early breakfast (prior to the dining room opening at 8 a.m.) so they can get the most out of their experience of South America skiing

Heli-skiing is available at Portillo for experienced heli-skiers as well as those wanting to have their first heli-ski experience. Ski the best powder in the Andes of South America with Portillo’s heliskiing guides only a short flight from the hotel.

With a fleet of some of the best brands and newest models in the market, Portillo’s ski rental shop has the equipment for skiers and snowboarders of all levels to rent for by the day or longer. Summer skiing at Portillo is difficult to beat.

On mountain lunch option with drinks, sandwiches and some snacks. The ski box is a great place for beginners learning on the Corralito when they need a break or those wanting to watch the ski race on Thursdays. Sit in the sun, enjoy a drink and a bite and take in the surroundings. It's hard to beat the beauty of the Andes mountains and skiing in South America.

Bathrooms can be found on the mountain at the Ski Box, Tio Bob’s and the main hotel.

For guests safety on the mountain, ski patrol is stationed at several spots around the mountain ready if anyone needs their help. Their stations can be found at the top of Plateau lift, top of Laguna and can also been seen skiing around the mountain.

Ski lessons can be booked at the ski school office, located across from the clinic in the lower level of the hotel. The ski school office is open daily.

Guests signed up for lessons can find their instructors at the ski school line up area outside the main ski-in/ski-out exit of the hotel. Instructors will await their student by the sign with their name on it.
