As much as we love the wonder and majesty of the Andes mountains that surround us here at Portillo, we understand that being on snow skiing every day for a week can be a lot. Sometimes the body needs a rest. Or maybe you just want to watch the kids improve their skiing skills, and strapping on ski boots isn’t for you at all. Either way, as much as we think our skiing is the best around, we don’t want to put anyone under the impression that we don’t offer things to do off mountain!
GYMNASIUM
The full-court gymnasium is also available for breaking a sweat. Basketball, volleyball and soccer equipment are all on hand and various sports tournaments are organized by our staff. Please check with the schedule when you check in.
FITNESS CENTER
Don’t let your travel companions out on the hill work up a bigger appetite than you! Keep pace by keeping fit in our fitness center. Our treadmills, elliptical machines, stair masters, exercise bikes and free weights are all ready to help you with your work out. We also have a separate studio for yoga, aerobics and other various activities. Check the weekly schedule when you check in for what organized classes will be available during your stay.
POOL
The photos don’t do our outdoor pool and hot tub facilities justice. Because it’s not about the pool itself, it’s all about the views. Watching the sun set over Laguna del Inca and the Andes mountains while sipping a beer or a cocktail from the adjacent bar is an experience like no other.
SPA
Vacations are the perfect time to unwind and what better way to do that than with a massage or some time in the sauna.
GAME ROOM
Both in the lobby and in the designated game room, various games and activities will bring out the kid in anyone. Board games a plenty exist in the lobby for when the kids need some quiet, non-screen, family time. Or if organized rowdiness is the order of the day, ping-pong, billards, a climbing wall and foosball are all set up in the designated game room next to the gymnasium. And if the kids are out on the hill, we won’t tell if you want to try your hand at any of the games!
MOVIE THEATER
Each night movies are screened in the 60+ seat cinema. Make it a family movie night or let the kids enjoy a flick by themselves.
