Dear Portillo Friends,
We’re excited to share that Portillo will open on Saturday, July 4. At this time, three ski runs will be open, and the mountain will be available exclusively to hotel guests with existing reservations.
Given the current snow conditions, and with the safety of guests as our top priority, we are not yet able to welcome day skiers. Guests with day tickets, season passes, and ticket packs will be able to enjoy Portillo as soon as snow conditions allow us to safely open additional terrain and accommodate more skiers. Please rest assured that tickets are activated only when they are first used at the resort, so they will not expire or be redeemed before your visit.
Our team has been working tirelessly making snow and preparing the mountain, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the general public as soon as conditions permit. We’ll continue to share updates through our official channels as more terrain becomes available.

Dear Friends of Portillo,
Although the last storm left us with 40cms of snow and we have been making snow, we currently don’t have the base needed to open for skiing. Keeping in our commitment to providing a safe and high-quality experience, we have decided to postpone the opening of the ski resort until the right conditions are available.
At Portillo, we have always been committed to offering the best possible conditions on the mountain, and we are making every effort to ensure that happens as soon as possible. Our team continues to work hard to prepare the slopes and make snow whenever temperatures allow, with the goal of being ready when the next storms come.
As soon as we have greater clarity regarding a new opening date, we will communicate it through our website and social channels. For those with reservations during the weeks of June 20 and 27, our team will contact you to reschedule for later this season, carry over your reservation to next year, or issue a refund.
We appreciate your understanding and hope that very soon we will have the conditions needed to begin what promises to be a great 2026 season.
