Guided Skiing at Portillo

Our pros ski the mountain every day, making them the best possible guides for those only seeking someone to show them around, instead of instruction. With guided skiing, they can show you secret stashes, side country and where to find the best snow. Available for an hour, a half day or a whole day, discover the amazing terrain Portillo has to offer with our guides.

Private lessons are available every day for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels. Guests can choose lessons from one hour up to a full day. Private lessons also allow guests to make their own private group to best suit their needs. Families, friends or solo, private lessons are great for those seeking a more personalized experience.

The Portillo Ski and Snowboard school offers group lessons all week (except Saturdays). Guests may choose between Morning (10:30 - 12) or Afternoon (3 - 4:30) sessions. Group lessons are available for skiers and snowboarders of all levels and ages as young as 4.

Our weekly Portillo Ski Camp (the original Ski Camp) is like a group lesson, but better. Staying with the same group and instructor the experience is unique, allowing guests to explore the terrain and ski techniques in depth.The camaraderie built within the group adds to the overall ski week experience with new friends and overall more fun. Ski Camps offer skiers a more intensive program and are designed to target specific guest needs. From racing specific camps to big mountain or overall technical ski, camps are a full week-long package with an activity packed daily schedule. Guests can choose between the Portillo Ski Camps or those offered by external organizations and hosted at Portillo.

Portillo’s team of ski pros gathers some of the most experienced instructors from around the world. Ninety percent of the school’s pros have the highest level of certification in their respective countries, and with instructors hailing from Europe, North America and South America our multilingual ski school has instructors for our international guests.

With several certified adaptive instructors, the Portillo Ski School is prepared to receive guests with physical disabilities and cognitive challenges. Ski instructors specialized in teaching physically challenged guests are essential to facilitating their enjoyment of skiing in Portillo. Guests with disabilities should contact the ski school in advance to arrange lessons.
